My recent experience with CPKSoft support was memorable, and I felt it was appropriate to share it.

A week ago I got a request from a good client to re-write the current scale ticket program. Having no experience with serial communications and reading information form serial devices. I had reservations about my ability to satisfy my client’s need.

A quick search on the internet pointed me to CPKSoft Engineering. Their software was the only package that supported the device I was looking to integrate with.

I downloaded the trial software, created my test application and tried it on the client’s PC…my program did not work. Now, having some experience with dealing with software component vendors, I figured I was out of luck and would have to let my client know that I will not be able to work on the project. However, just to give it a try, I decided to send an email to CPKSoft support to see if they could help me out. I figured my chances were slim as I was not even a customer. In less than one hour I got a response with a detailed list of suggestions to make my trial program work.

Over the course of one week CPKSoft support worked with me to identify the problem with reading the information from the device, they created not one, but two sample programs for me to try on my client PC, and it the end it turned out that my configuration was not a typical configuration for the device I was using. In spite of this, CPKSoft enhanced their software to support it, and now I have a working application and most importantly I can now fulfill my client’s need.

I am rarely impressed by the customer service provided by the vendors I deal with and even less frequently do I recommend a vendor. However, in this case I recommend CPKSoft to anyone who needs a solution to work with serial devices, the level of service and quality of work is exemplary.

Hi,

I've carried out some testing, and after sorting out the settings and addressing it seems to work fine. From what I've seen of the product, it will be perfect... I’ve been using your product ... and have had great success with applications created for Allen Bradley and Hitachi PLC’s...
